Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off 200 electric buses in the national capital, which strengthened the focus and resolution of the Center and the Delhi government on creating a clean and green Delhi. PM Modi also shared pictures of the fleet of electric buses on the X and wrote in the caption, “Clean and Green Delhi Building”. The Prime Minister is also seen with the Prime Minister, VK Saxena, Lt. Governor of Delhi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
PM Modi further wrote on X, “As part of the Delhi government initiative, electric buses were flagged off, which aims to promote sustainable development and clean urban dynamics. In addition, it will also improve the ‘ease of life’ for the people of Delhi.” The step has been taken by the newly elected BJP government led by CM Rekha Gupta after taking steps towards reduced air pollution in the city and 100 percent electrification of public transport system.
Rekha Gupta said that today the importance of single use plastic ban is more understandable, and if we have to keep our world clean then we all have to join this call … Delhi government will seriously ensure that single use plastic in Delhi is completely banned … Delhi Government will work very seriously on waste separation so that we can speed up garbage management.
