Another big arrest in the pahalgam attack, Lashkar terrorist Mohammad Kataria caught

Five months after 25 tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Basaron Valley, Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, security agencies arrested a Kashmiri man on Wednesday, who provided logistics assistance to the Pakistan-backed The Resistance Front (TRF) terrorists. The police arrested 26 -year -old Mohammad Yusuf Kataria, a resident of Kulgam, for providing logistics aid to terrorists. After the arrest, he has been sent to 14 days police custody. Kataria has been arrested after analysis of weapons recovered during Operation Mahadev. Sources said that Kataria, who used to do a contract job and also taught local children, came in contact with terrorists a few months ago and started helping them in their activities.

Investigations revealed that it had helped the Lashkar Group pass through the wild areas of Kulgam months before the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people were killed in this attack, out of which 25 were tourists. The attack took place on 22 April in Basaron Valley. Investigators have also been trying to find out the help of overground workers (OGW) received by the Pahalgam attackers, the previous activities, bases and the infiltration of Jammu and Kashmir. In June, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced that it had arrested two people who allegedly provided shelter and logistics aid to the attackers. Both were identified as Parvez Ahmed Jothar and Bashir Ahmed Jothar, who also named the names of the three terrorists involved in the attack.

In July, the three terrorists were killed by security forces under Lashkar’s top commander Suleman Shah, Afghan and Jibran Operation Mahadev. After the April 22 massacre, he was identified by those who gave shelter as Pahalgam attackers. The very next day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while speaking in Parliament during the monsoon session, confirmed that the three terrorists killed were actually criminals from Pahalgam and were from Pakistan. The minister rejected the claim of some opposition leaders that they could be terrorists.
