Former Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai said that he has always believed that the BJP will fight alone and slowly leave its mark, the final goal will come to power. Speaking on the current strategy of the party, Annamalai admitted that 2026 would be a classic case where the BJP would not be in a position to form a government on its own. He said that the arrival of new players like Vijay will intensify political conflict in the state, but insisted that the DMK should be removed from power. On the BJP’s alliance with the AIADMK, Annamalai said that this is a very practical decision of the party leadership and hopes that it will get good results in 2026. He said we are part of the alliance. He clarified that this alliance is important for the upcoming assembly elections.

He further said that this alliance not only provides the opportunity to make the Chief Minister of the AIADMK, but also increases the number of MLAs, which shows the party’s work at the state level.

Annamalai clarified about the NDA Chief Ministerial candidate in Tamil Nadu that EPS is the candidate elected.
