Charanjit Kaur said that the central government is taking steps towards ending ICDS. The beneficiaries are facing problems through nutrition tracker and face ID. Nutrition is not getting the benefit without face ID. Despite the order of the Supreme Court, beneficiaries are being denied facilities in the name of Aadhaar card.
People refusing to give OTP
People are refusing to have face ID. He says that 300 grams will not get face ID for porridge. People are also refusing to give OTP for fear of cyber fraud. This is directly affecting Anganwadi workers.
Anganwadi workers have not yet been given mobiles. For the last 20 years, the central government is giving budget, but is not providing necessary resources. Employees are being used without resources.
Nationwide strike organized on 20 May
In protest against these issues, demand letters will be sent to the Central Government at the district headquarters on 9 May. A nationwide strike will be held on 20 May. Efforts will be made to protect ICDS and child rights through this strike.
