Senior Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Jogi Ramesh and his brother have been arrested for allegedly manufacturing spurious liquor and selling adulterated liquor in Andhra Pradesh. The officers provided this information.
Ramesh and his younger brother Jogi Ramu were arrested by Excise Department officials on Sunday morning and later produced before the local court. According to the remand report shared by an officer, both the accused have been arrested in connection with charges of illegal manufacturing, transportation, import and sale of spurious liquor under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 and Andhra Pradesh Prohibition Act, 1995 and several other provisions.
According to sources, he was produced in the local court late on Sunday night. The arrests were made following the unearthing and seizure of organized manufacturing, distribution and sale of spurious liquor at several places in the state.
