Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Saturday that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government works for the poor and implements all the programs for them so that they do not have any problem.
Addressing a gram sabha in Cheeru in the district, the Chief Minister said that more than 64 lakh people in the state get pension like employees on the first date of every month. Naidu said, this government works for the poor. We are running all programs to protect the poor from any kind of trouble.
He said that in the matter of distributing pension, the NDA government is a unique government in history. He said that the state government has so far spent Rs 34,000 crore on welfare pension. He said that Andhra Pradesh gives more welfare pension in terms of numbers and wealth than rich states like Maharashtra and Telangana.
Referring to the Deepam-2 scheme (under which the eligible beneficiaries are given for free, the threerso gas cylinders are given free of cost) the Chief Minister said that he will deposit money in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries once in four months to make the benefit of this scheme easier.
The Chief Minister soon promised to implement Annadata Sukhabhav (financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per year) in three installments. Similarly, he also assured to implement free bus travel for women from August 15.
