Amravati: Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath presented the Rs 2,79,279 crore state budget for 2023-24. State Finance Minister Buganna Rajendranath said on Thursday that the budget for the financial year 2023-24 has been prepared to improve the standard of living of the people. He expressed happiness over the presentation of the state budget for the fifth time under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He said in a statement, “We are moving forward after facing the challenges of Kovid-19 and revenue loss. With this belief, we are presenting the budget giving priority to education, health and other major sectors.

He said that for the purpose of women empowerment, special budgetary allocation has been made for women and children. Earlier, the state cabinet under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister approved the annual budget for the financial year 2023-24 as well as the agriculture budget. (agency)
