N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the state government Iftar party in Vijayawada on 27 March.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu promised the protection of Waqf Properties.
On March 27, Naidu, at the iftar party of the state government in Vijayawada, said that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has always done justice to Muslims, we are committed to the upliftment of the disadvantaged Muslim families.
The Chief Minister also emphasized on the efforts of the administration for the betterment of the economic condition of Muslims and spoke on budgetary allocation and welfare initiative.
He said that his government has allocated Rs 5,300 crore in the budget of 2025-26 for the upliftment of minority communities.
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is preparing to perform in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh today against the Waqf Amendment Bill.

We reorganized Waqf Board – Chandrababu Naidu
On the dispute related to the government order 43, Naidu said that when GO 43 was introduced, unnecessary controversy arose. After the case reached the court, the functioning of the Waqf Board was interrupted. As soon as our government took charge, we canceled the order and restructured the board, ensuring safety of Waqf properties.
Naidu also announced an increase in the honorarium of Muslim religious leaders and said that the Imams will now get Rs 10,000, while Mazanas will be given Rs 5,000.
Naidu accused of playing double game
YSRCP leader Sheikh Asif accused Chandrababu Naidu of playing “double game”. Sheikh Asif said that the Chief Minister supported the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament, while in Andhra Pradesh talked about giving protection to Waqf Properties, it shows a “double approach” towards Muslims.
AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi said to never forgive Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan and Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Jayant Chaudhary.
Owaisi said that Muslims will never forgive him as they are allowing BJP to attack Sharia. If these four leaders want, they can stop the bill, but they are allowing BJP to end our mosques and waqf.

Politics of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh on Waqf Bill
Naidu formed an alliance with BJP on 9 March 2024. According to which BJP was allotted six out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state and 10 out of 175 assembly seats.
After this, Muslim groups in Andhra Pradesh have started a major campaign on social media, in which the voters of the community have been warned of not voting for TDP in the upcoming elections.
Muslim groups believed that the BJP was creating a rift among people in the name of religion in the country. The Muslim communities with a 7% share in the population will be separated from the TDP when they go in favor of the Waqf Amendment Bill.
Bihar has a NDA government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. At the same time, Chandrababu Naidu of NDA camp is also the Chief Minister in Andhra Pradesh. On the basis of both parties, the central government is running. If these two parties separate from the NDA, then the BJP government will come into a minority.
Actually, the figure of 272 is necessary to form a government at the Center. The NDA currently has 292 MPs. That is, 20 more than the majority.
Nitish Kumar’s JDU has 12 MPs and Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP has 16 MPs. The figure of both is of 28 MPs. That is, if both withdrew support, the central government will have 8 MPs less for majority. In such a situation, the government will come under minority.
A resolution was passed against Waqf Bill in Tamil Nadu Assembly
The DMK government of Tamil Nadu passed a resolution in the Legislative Assembly on 27 March against the Waqf Amendment Bill. Chief Minister MK Stalin said in protest against the proposal- This bill will end the rights of Muslims. Our demand is that the central government should withdraw the bill.
Stalin said, ‘The central government is bringing schemes that are against the rights, culture and tradition of the state. The Waqf Amendment Bill is destroying the rights of Muslims.
