An eight-year-old child who went missing two days ago was found in a water tank

Faridkot The body of an 8-year-old boy from Ferozepur, who went missing two days ago from Sanjay Nagar, was recovered from the water works tank on Saturday. On Friday itself, the police filed a missing complaint and started searching for the child. Police recovered the child’s body on Saturday with the help of a dog team.

Sandeep Kaur, wife of Bhinder Singh, a resident of village Wada Jawahar Singh Wala of Ferozepur, has lodged a complaint with the police that her relatives live in Sanjay Nagar of Faridkot. She had come to her relatives’ house with her three children on June 1 due to school holidays. On the same day, his eight-year-old son Gurnoor Singh was playing in the street with other children. After a long time the children returned home but Gurnoor did not return.

On asking, he did not know anything. Gurnoor was searched everywhere, but after not getting any information about him, he filed a complaint in Thana City. Police of Thana City 2 had registered a case against unknown persons and started searching for Gurnoor. On Saturday, the police found Gurnoor’s body lying in the water works tank.

Amandeep Singh, in-charge of police station City 2, said that the post-mortem of the body of the child Gurnoor is being conducted. Only after that it will be clear whether the child accidentally fell into the tank or someone deliberately threw it there.
