Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the Vijay Sankalp Sammelan in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal on Sunday. During this, he attacked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee fiercely. Shah alleged that Mamata Banerjee is ‘opposing’ Operation Sindoor and Waqf Amendment Act to please the Muslim vote bank. In addition, the Home Minister also alleged that the recent riots in Murshidabad were ‘state -sponsored’.
Targeting Banerjee, Amit Shah said, ‘Mamta Didi has crossed the fall of collapse for vote bank. A few days ago, Pak-inspired terrorists asked our innocent citizens to kill religion and killed them in front of their families. Operation was verified to punish these terrorists. The headquarters of the terrorists were destroyed by entering inside Pakistan. Didi hurts on the death of terrorists. Mamta Banerjee opposed Operation Sindoor by making a poor political statement.

Shah said that you (Mamta Banerjee) have not opposed Operation Sindoor, you have played with crores of mothers and bags of this country. I have come to appeal to the mothers of Bengal to appeal to those who oppose Operation Sindoor in the coming elections.
Banerjee recently accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP of trying to take advantage of the Center’s military response to the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April for political gains.
On the Murshidabad violence in April, Shah claimed that many senior TMC leaders were involved in the riots. He alleged, ‘Murshidabad riots were state -sponsored. During the Murshidabad riots, the Ministry of Home Affairs stressed on the deployment of BSF, but the TMC government did not allow this to happen so that the violence continues. During the protests over the Waqf law, at least three people were killed and several others were injured in the communal riots in Murshidabad. The Home Minister also criticized Mamata Banerjee for opposing the Waqf Amendment Act.

Saying that TMC is promoting illegal infiltration from Bangladesh, Shah said, ‘Mamata Banerjee has opened the boundaries of Bengal for Bangladeshis. She can never stop infiltration, only BJP can do so. Responding to the criticism of TMC of BSF’s disability in preventing infiltration, the senior BJP leader said that the Mamata Banerjee -led government has not given necessary land to the BSF. He said, “Once the TMC government gives necessary land to BSF, we will stop infiltration.” Shah claimed, “But the ruling party of Bengal will never give land to BSF, as it wants infiltration to continue so that it remains in power.”
