US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that American troops would not be sent to help Ukraine against Russia. Trump also said in a TV interview that Ukraine’s expectations to join NATO and reconstruct the Crimea Peninsula from Russia are “impossible”.
A long meeting was held on Monday between Trump, Ukraine President Volodimir Jailnsky and other European leaders in the ‘White House’ (the official residence and office of the President of the US).
While answering the questions of journalists, Trump did not ruled out the possibility of sending American soldiers to participate in European -leadership attempts to protect Ukraine under the security guarantee sought by Jailonski.
After his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska last week, Trump said that Putin is ready to idea of guarantee security guarantee for Ukraine but in the ‘Fox and Friends’ program of ‘Fox News Channel’ on Tuesday, he said that American soldiers would not be sent to help protect Ukraine.
