Bagram Airbase of Afghanistan has once again become the center of US strategic discussions. In fact, in 2001, the US made Bagram Airbase its military base to get a fight against the Taliban and to control Kabul. In 2021, the US decided to leave Afghanistan, then the Taliban is occupied here. But now there are reports that this military base of America is again eyeing. He is working again to capture it. About 60 km from Kabul, this airbase was once one of the most important military bases in America.

This airbase was not only the center of Afghanistan’s military and political balance. Rather its geographical location is considered very important to monitor China, Russia, Iran and Central Asia. This area is close to Salang Sulung which connects Kabul to the northern and western part of the country. In such a situation, control over Bagram means strategic hold on a large part of Afghanistan. Recently, US President Trump first publicly admitted that his administration is working towards taking Bagram Airbase again.

Trump has also criticized Joe Biden for the return of American troops from Afghanistan in 2021 and said that it has gone into the hands of Taliban leaders, American military property including weapons and bases. Bagram has become a strategic center for America due to proximity to China. Trump has claimed that it is one of the largest airports in the world and is capable of flying its 3,600 meter long runway cargo aircraft as well as bombing aircraft.
