A US judge on Sunday temporarily banned the government’s decision to existing a group of children in Guatemala, crossing the border without his families.
Children’s lawyers said that they were riding in aircraft overnight, which is a violation of laws providing protection to migrant children. Originally 10 to 17 years of age, lawyers of 10 and 17, hailing from Guatemala, were filed in court late on Saturday.
The application said that there are reports that the aircraft were about to fly to the Central American country in a few hours. A federal judge in Washington said that these children cannot be deported for at least 14 days.
The judge ordered after a hasty hearing on Sunday that the children should be taken out of the aircraft and sent back to the refugee rehabilitation center office till the legal process is completed.
Judge Sparkle L. Sukanan said, “I don’t want there to be any ambiguity in it.” He said that this decision of the court widely applies to the minors in Guatemala who have reached America without their parents or parents.
