America is exploring new possibilities to increase economic cooperation with Pakistan in other regions: Rubio

On Thursday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, wishing the people of Pakistan on Independence Day, said that his country is eager to explore the possibilities of new areas of economic cooperation including rare minerals and hydrocarbons. This congratulatory message of Rubio has come at a time when the relations between Pakistan and America have improved after many years of tension.

The US Secretary of State said in a statement, “We are ready to explore new possibilities of economic cooperation including rare minerals and hydrocarbons and promote dynamic trading partnership, which will strengthen the future for Americans and Pakistanis.”

He said, “The US appreciates Pakistan’s participation in the field of anti-terrorism measures and business. Pakistan’s appreciation by Rubio was appreciated at a time when Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has made a second visit to America in the last two months.

Munir had a high -level conversation with the political and military leadership during his stay in America. Earlier, Pakistan and the United States had resolved differences on fees.

The US has decided to impose a 19 percent fee on Pakistani goods. This week, both sides held talks to fight terrorism in Islamabad. During the talks, the two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation to deal with major terrorist groups including Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), ISIS-Khorasan and Taliban.
