All -party delegation led by Tharoor reached Columbia

An all -party parliamentary delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor reached Colombia on Thursday which will express India’s determination to fight all forms of terrorism.

The Indian Embassy in Colombia said in a post on ‘X’ that India’s ambassador Vanlalhuma warmly welcomed the delegation in Colombia, which led to a meaningful association to express India’s firm attitude against terrorism.

During his stay in Bogota, the delegation will interact with Congress members, ministers and other prominent negotiators in the media. The group is one of the seven multi -party delegations that India have sent to visit 33 global capitals to convey the international community of India’s stand against terrorism after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April.

The delegation, who arrived here from Panama, includes Sarfaraz Ahmed (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha), GM Harish Balayogi (Telugu Desam Party), Shashank Mani Tripathi (BJP), Bhubaneswar Kalita (BJP), Milind Deora (Shiv Sena), Tejashwi Surya (BJP) and former India Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu in America.

In Panama City, the delegation met Panama President Jose Raul Mulino Quintaro and Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Carlos Arturo Hoyos. Tharoor said in a post on ‘X’, “The President expressed support in India’s fight against terrorism.”

BJP MP Tejashwi Surya, who was involved in the delegation, said on ‘X’ that the President took cognizance of India’s security concerns and made it absolutely clear that terrorism has no place in today’s world, he supported India’s attitude. ”

The delegation also met Panamai External Affairs Minister Javier Martinez-Achh, Deputy Minister Carlos Hoyos and several of his colleagues. The Indian Embassy in Panama, Nicaragua and Costa Rica said in a post on ‘X’, “The message of the Panama Sarkar is strong and clear: the policy of not tolerating at all for terrorism.
