An all -party delegation led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has reached London to put India’s stand on terrorism in front of the world.
The all -party delegation includes D Purandeshwari, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh, Samik Bhattacharya, M Thambidurai and former Union Minister of State MJ Akbar and Ambassador Pankaj Saran. These leaders will meet community groups, think tanks, MPs and migrant leaders.
The Indian High Commission in Britain said in a post on ‘X’, “The all -party delegation of MPs led by Ravi Shankar Prasad reached London on Saturday evening and he was received by High Commissioner Vikram Durajiswami.”
The High Commission said that during its three-day visit to Britain, the delegation ‘House of Commons’ will interact with the UK Foreign Office Minister Catherine West, MPs, Think Tanks and representatives of the Indian community for the Hind-Pacific.
The delegation led by Prasad is on a tour of six European countries under India’s diplomatic contact after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The delegation arrived here after completing his visit to France, Italy and Denmark last week. 26 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
The delegation in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, interacted with the MPs, Foreign Affairs officials and the Pravasi Bharatiya community. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a previous statement, “The delegation emphasized India’s policy of not tolerating terrorism and said that any act of violence would be given a befitting reply.” India appreciated the public attitude of Denmark for condemning the Pahalgam terrorist attack and showing solidarity with India. “After a UK visit, the delegation will meet the European Union (EU) leaders and leave for Germany.
