The Central Government implemented the Waqf Amendment Act on 8 April in the country.
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) in Hyderabad started a nationwide protest against the revised Waqf Act from Sunday named ‘Waqf Bachao, Save the Constitution’.
The board said- The revised Waqf law is against the rights of secularism and minority communities. The movement will continue until the law is withdrawn.
AIMPLB said- The central government is paying more attention to communal interests instead of constitutional values. The board has said that it will continue to perform across the country.
Board member Maulana Gaisas Ahmed Rashadi said-

The progress of any country depends on the justice given to the citizens there. If the central government of a country does not give justice to all communities, classes and people, does not accept their fundamental rights, then the government can not be strong nor the country can move forward.
The Waqf Amendment Bill (now Law) passed on April 2 after a discussion of 12-12 hours in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on 3 April. After this, President Draupadi Murmu approved the bill late on 5 April. The central government implemented it in the country on 8 April.

What did Hyderabad AIMPLB say …
- Our country is made up of many religions and communities. When our constitution was created, some principles were set to protect the fundamental rights of every religious and social group. The group of these principles is called the constitution, but the central government has given priority to communalism for its political interests.
- In the first phase of the movement, a demonstration is planned across the country from 10 April to 7 July. Save the Waqf, rallies will be held across the country under the Constitution Bachao Andolan. A round table meeting will be held in Hyderabad on 18 May. Similar meetings will also be held in Telangana and all districts of Andhra Pradesh.
- After evening prayers on 22 May, women will agitate at Idgah Bilali Hockey Ground. It will include several prominent officials of the board. Human chains will be made in Hyderabad as well as Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from 2 pm to 2.30 pm on 25 May.
