He described it as a act of breaking the morale of honest officers. It feared that the government is trying to divert attention to hide its failure.

Before joining government service, he served in the advertising sector for three years, including Lintas India (Mumbai) and contract advertising (Delhi). He joined the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in 1989.
