1. What is Akashlir System?
Akashtir is an indigenous Artificial Intelligence-Powered Air Defense System that has jointly designed and developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the Indian Army.
Its task is to monitor low-level aircraft and control the air defense weapon system posted on the ground. Akashtir forms a single network by integrating radar, sensor and communication systems, which is capable of detecting, tracking and neutralizing air threats in real time.

Real-Time Threat Assessment: Akashtir system takes real time data from different sources such as radar stations, missile units and air sensors and converts them into single live air situations.
