SAD Senior Leader Maheshinder Singh Grewal.
The factionalism of the Shiromani Akali Dal in Ludhiana has become well known. Senior SAD leader Maheshinder Singh Grewal demanded rebel Akali Akali Manpreet Singh Ayali on Saturday that he handed over the power to make rules for the appointment of Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib
.
The way Manpreet Ayali condemned the connivance with Minister Harjot Bains to start a discussion on making rules for the appointment of Jathedar of the Sikh’s highest religious seat.
SAD MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali.
Ayali hurt the sentiments of Sikh community
Maheshindar Grewal said that this act of Ayali has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community, who are sad that Ayali thinks that the state assembly is above the holy plank and has the right to subdue it.
The leaders of the reform wave clarify their stand on this issue
Ayali should apologize for this work from Sikh Sangat. Grewal said that other leaders of the reform wave should also clearly explain whether he supports Ayali’s stance. He said that the leaders of the reform wave have claimed that they respect Shri Akal Takht Sahib very much, but they have not reacted to the insult of the institution by Ayali.
For this reason, they should clarify their stance, otherwise it will be estimated that they are working together with Ayali in reducing the right of the plank with the government.
This kind of discussion is unfortunate to allow such a discussion
Grewal also asked the leaders of the reform wave not to do showy work. The SAD leader also said that it is unfortunate that Assembly Speaker Kulatar Singh Sandhawan allowed such a discussion and did not remove the statements made by Ayali and Harjot Bains from the assembly records.
He said that the Akali Dal would not tolerate such clear intervention in religious matters of the Sikh community. Grewal said that the community and its representative institution-Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is capable of enacting rules and laws for the appointment of Jathedar of Mr. Akal Takht and any external intervention is unfair and unacceptable.
An attempt was made to know the side of MLA Manpreet Ayali in this regard, but she did not receive a mobile call.
