Pro Sandeep Kumar of AIIMS told- Sanjeevani Air Ambulance helicopter went to Kedarnath to take a patient. The patient was to be rescued from the air ambulance to the hospital, but his emergency landing was made due to any problem in the helicopter some distance from the helipad.
At the same time, District Tourism Officer of Rudraprayag Rahul Choubey said- Due to the understanding of the pilot, a big accident was averted. The back of the air ambulance was broken during the landing, due to which he suddenly fell down.

The helicopter crashed on 8 May in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. 6 people, including a pilot, died in the accident. Among the dead are mother and daughter from Bareilly. The accident occurred near the Bhagirathi River in Ganganani, Uttarkashi.
The helicopter was going to Gangotri Dham. According to the administration, 7 seater helicopters were riding 5 women and 2 men, including pilot Robin. The helicopter belonged to Ahmedabad based Erotense Service Private Limited Company in Gujarat. It was a bell-VT-QXF helicopter.
Where the accident occurred, the height of the place is about 2600 meters above sea level. This is a mountainous area. In such a situation, the police and SDRF team reached the spot with the help of rope.
After about 3 hours rescue, everyone was taken out. 5 women tourists and pilots died on the spot. Only one male is alive, rescuing Rishikesh AIIMS from the air ambulance.
Kedarnath helicopter service was stopped in Uttarkashi after the accident. All three helipad- Helicopters will not fly from Guptkashi, Sirsi and Phata.

The team started the rescue by making a base at the scene and landing in the ditch. After more than an hour, the team reached the spot. After this, first took out the injured person. The bodies were later brought out.

Bareilly’s chemical engineer daughter and mother dies Radha Aggarwal, a resident of Alamgiri Ganj of Bareilly and her daughter Ruchi Aggarwal, died in the helicopter crash. Radha’s grandson Umang Agarwal runs a shop of Saraf. He told- Tai Radha along with daughter and other colleagues had left for Chardham Yatra.
Radha Aggarwal used to live in Pavai, Mumbai near her daughter Ruchi. Radha Aggarwal was 79 years old, her husband died in 2021. Daughter Ruchi was a chemical engineer and her husband is also a chemical engineer. Radha’s brother-in-law lives in Bareilly.
AAIB will investigate the accident Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the accident. Bell-VT -QXF helicopter is of single engine. According to sources, the accident occurred due to bad weather. However, the cause of the accident is not yet clear.
According to the website of the Director General of Indian Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Erotrans Company has two Bell Helicopters and a Cessna Helicopter. They come under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Aaib itself is responsible for its investigation.
