After winning the Test series against West Indies, captain Shubman Gill has broken the practice of former captain MS Dhoni. Actually, after winning the series, Dhoni used to hand over the trophy to the newest player of the team, whether he had made his debut or not. This practice of Dhoni was followed by everyone from Virat Kohli to Rohit Sharma but Gill broke this practice. Let us tell you that after winning the series, Gill first handed the trophy to Player of the Series Ravindra Jadeja. Later the trophy was handed over to N Jagadeesan and the team celebrated the victory with him.

It is seen in the video that Gill first hands over the trophy to Jadeja. Jadeja is also the vice-captain of this team. Jadeja lifts the trophy in the air and then later hands it over to the newest player.
