Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said in his first address after a ceasefire that his country has ‘slapped America’s mouth’. Khamenei also said that if the US attacks in the future, Iran will respond by attacking the American military bases in the Middle East. 86 -year -old Khamenei said that any attack on Iran would bring a “very heavy price”. He also reported that Iran attacked the US’s largest military base (located in Qatar) in the region, when Washington participated in the Israeli attacks. Addressing the country for the first time on television after a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, Khamenei said, “The Islamic Republic slapped America. We attacked an important American hideout in the region.”
It is being told that Khamenei’s recorded statement was aired on government television. Like last time, he was speaking from an unknown place this time, where there was a brown curtain, an Iranian flag and a picture of his predecessor Rohollah Khomaini. He added, “It is not a small incident that the Islamic Republic has access to important centers of America and can act on them whenever he wants. It is a big event and if there is a future attack, this incident can happen again.” Let us also tell you that Khamenei’s statement came after the statement of US President Donald Trump in which he said that if Iran starts its nuclear enrichment program again, America will attack again.

There is more attendance of security forces on the roads and checkpoints have been made everywhere. Revolutionary guards and inhabited paramilitary forces have been kept on alert and internal security is being given top priority. Media reports quoted the Iranian officials as saying that the authorities are concerned about the danger of Israeli agents, ethnic separatists and deported opposition organization “People’s Mujahideen Organization”, which has already carried out attacks within Iran. Meanwhile, the Iranian human rights group HRNA reported that since the beginning of the war, more than 700 people have been arrested on political or security charges. Many of these people have been accused of spying for Israel. Iranian government media said that three people were hanged on charges of espionage in Uromia near Turkish border.
An official said that more soldiers have been deployed on the borders of Pakistani, Iraqi and Azerbaijani to prevent the infiltration of “terrorists”. Let us tell you that most of the Sunni Muslim Kurdish and Baloch minorities of Iran have been opposing the rule of the Islamic Republic for a long time and have expressed dissatisfaction against Tehran’s Persian-speaking Shia government.
