A video message by a class 3 student in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district about ensuring basic facilities in her school has gone viral. In the video, Sirat Naz, while introducing himself, told PM Modi that there are no basic facilities in his school. While requesting, Seerat said, Modi ji, please listen to everyone, listen to me too. Our school is very dirty, our clothes get dirty, my mother beats me. Please make a good school. After this request to the PM, now the Jammu and Kashmir administration has started the work of giving a new look to the school in Sirat.
Director of School Education Jammu Ravi Shankar Sharma visited Seerat Naz’s school in Lohai-Malhar block. After visiting the school, Mr. Sharma said that a project worth Rs. 91 lakh has been approved to upgrade the school on modern lines. But the work was stalled due to some issues related to administrative approval. It has now been resolved and is working.
The official said hundreds of schools are running in remote parts of the Union Territory and the government has already prepared a detailed project to ensure proper and modern facilities in all these schools.
“We have also started construction of 1,000 new kindergartens in all districts of Jammu state and in the next three to four years, we will ensure construction of 250 kindergartens in each of the 10 districts,” he added. ,
Naaz, who aspires to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, said she was happy that her message had received a positive response. Naz said, “I made the video myself to share my thoughts with the Prime Minister. I am happy that action has been taken and our school is getting a makeover.”
