TV actor Sudeep Sahir is currently playing a gray shade character in Colors Channel’s show ‘Parineeti’. This is the first show of the actor’s career in which gray shade is seen in the character for the first time. Recently, the actor shared some special things related to the show and career during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Here is some major parts of the conversation ..
How are you watching their character in ‘Parineeti’?
I have never played such a character before. It is generally seen that there is a chance to play black or white character in television. Till now I have played only good brothers, father, son and husband. This time thought of doing something different. Some time ago I expressed a desire to play a gray character during an interview. When the offer of this show came, I felt that my wish was fulfilled.
Whenever the desire is fulfilled, how much preparation has to be done to perfect it?
When you play a white character, every show has the same character offers. They try to do it differently. Parineeti’ Every scene in me is new to me. Because never played such a character. So there is a challenge to do something new every day.
Gray character is usually noticed a lot, you have noticed any such character?
I try to notice humans. I learn something from there. I had earlier done a show ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’. I saw Pankaj Kapoor’s film ‘Chameli Ki Shaadi’. The way he had body language in that film. That kind of style I copied in the show.
You have played many popular characters on the small screen, which character is very close to your heart?
Every character is very close to my heart, because everyone works in life. ‘Channa Way Ghar Aaja Way’ did music video in 2004. Even today people know me because of that song. Today that song has turned 21 years old. Even today I get a lot of love from that song. I have been lucky that I got that song at that time.
Never tried for films?
To be honest, I never tried for films. After ‘Main Laxmi Tere Aangan’, I did a film ‘Hum Deewana Dil’, but that film did not work. The film was the creative producer of Imtiaz Ali. The film was directed by his brother Arif Ali. AR was a music music. Dinesh Vision produced the film. I never tried after that film. I accepted and kept doing the offer that came from me.
It ever happened that he had to leave the film because of being busy shooting for the show?
Many times it has happened that calls have been received for the audition of films, but could not do it due to television. For television, one has to pay 15-20 days a month. In such a situation, auditions are not possible. When there is a lead role in a show, then there is no time at all. Because he has to stay busy for 25-30 days. Many such occasions came, could not do it, I think what is written in luck. That is what happens.
Do you trust fate more?
I trust luck, more than my talent than that. I believe that what will be in luck will be found, even if there is a big star in that project? Only talent is useful there, this line is such that there is a lot of disappointment here.
There was a moment in life when you were very disappointed, what did you do to overcome it?
By the grace of God, I am such a person that I have never been disappointed in my life. If a show offer was offered and it was not finalized, I think it was a loss in front. Something good will be written for me. We have the ability to kill life.
The first time found in life is very close to the heart, a lot of memories are attached. What kind of memories do you have?
I got the first opportunity on television in Balaji Telefilms’ show ‘Why Hota Hai Pyaar’. When I came from Delhi in 2003, I used to add. At that time he lived in PG. After every ad, it seemed that two months of rent has been arranged. When ‘why is love’, he shifted to 1 BHK flat from PG.
Today again I got a chance to work in Balaji’s show, before Balaji got a call, was busy in some other show. Working in Balaji Telefilms is like a homecoming for me. Today I am doing Balaji’s show after 22 years.
Television has a very busy schedule, how can you take time to keep themselves fit?
I take time out. If I shoot in Naigaon too, while returning, I get out of my car near Domestic Airport and go to Bandra to walk in my house. In this way, 40 to 50 minutes of work was done out. After reaching home, I spend time with my family.
