Just after the historic meeting of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky has taken a big step. He announced on Saturday that he was on Monday, Washington, D.C. I am going to meet Trump to discuss ‘killing and ending war’ in Ukraine.
The announcement was made after a telephone call, in which Trump apprised Jailonsky about the ‘main points’ of his conversation with Putin in Alaska.

Jailonsky announced on social media
Confirming his journey, Jailonsky wrote in a post on ‘X’ (East Twitter), ‘On Monday, I was Washington, D.C. I will meet President Trump and discuss all the details related to killing and ending the war. He thanked Trump for this invitation.
According to Jailonsky, he had a ‘long and meaningful conversation’ with Trump. The meeting is being held three days after the meeting between Trump and Putin. However, there was no clear progress to end the Moscow over three years old attack on the ceasefire or Ukraine in the conversation held in Alaska.
