Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav Dhillon Brothers (Dhillon Brothers) has taken strict action against SHO Navdeep Singh in the suicide case. Navdeep Singh, the former in-charge of Jalandhar Police Station Division No. 1 who absconded after being nominated in the suicide case, has been dismissed by the DGP with immediate effect. Earlier yesterday, Jalandhar police commissioner had suspended Navdeep after he escaped.
After taking action against the SHO, now the family of Dhillon brothers has also agreed to perform the last rites of Jashanbir. Today the family reached Sultanpur Lodhi to take Jashnbir’s dead body. Dhillon brothers’ father said that Jashnbir’s last rites will be performed this evening at the crematorium near Guru Teg Bahadur Gurdwara in Model Town. He also warned that the police should arrest the sacked SHO soon.
Jashnbir’s body was found buried in the soil
Jashnbir and Manavjit had jumped from the Goindwal Sahib Bridge into the Beas. After the flood waters receded, Jashnbir’s body was found buried in the silt in the fields. Jashnbir’s body was kept at Civil Hospital Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala) mortuary for post-mortem. The relatives had said that they will not perform Jashnbir’s last rites until SHO Navdeep is arrested and Manavjit’s body is found.
It is to be mentioned that yesterday father Jitinder Pal Singh gave a stern warning and said that he will take the dead body of Jashnbir to Chandigarh and there he will start a fierce struggle until justice is done. He had alleged that neither the police administration helped in finding the dead bodies of the two brothers nor now the prime accused SHO Navdeep and two other people involved with him have been arrested.
