Ludhiana | MP Sanjeev Arora gave ownership to 121 beneficiaries of Habowal Khurd after more than 35 years. Property certificates were distributed on Thursday at a program organized at Sri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala in Habowal Khurd. Sanjeev Arora said that the government has taken this important step under the “Mera Ghar Mere Naam” scheme to empower the residents living within the red streak.
Arora said that the residents of Habowal Khurd (Ward No. 63) were demanding legal ownership of their homes for the last 35 years, which has now been completed. Councilor Maninder Kaur Ghumman’s family was also among the beneficiaries. Said that on May 6, 990 beneficiaries of Sunet and Badewal were given ownership under this scheme in Guru Nanak Dev Bhavan.
On May 13, 158 families were entrusted with the legal right of property in a program organized at Gurdwara Sadh Sangat Sahib, Habowal Kalan. Mayor Indrajit Kaur, Rakesh Parashar, Prince Johar and Davinder Singh Ghumman etc. were present in the program.
