After 3 months on the stampede, Virat Kohli broke silence, remembering the fans and said this

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s first trophy of IPL 2025 turned into mourning after seeing the joy of winning. In fact, on 4 June, 11 people were killed and many were injured in a stampede during the celebrations outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After remaining silent for about three months of this painful incident, now Virat Kohli has broken his silence on the matter for the first time.

During this, RCB shared a post of Virat Kohli’s statement on his X and Instagram. In which it was said by Kohli that, sometimes there are such moments in life for which you are not ready at all. June 4 was the same day. The day that should have been the happiest for our franchise, it turned into a tragic event. I pray for all the families who lost their loved ones and for the fans who were injured. Your pain is now part of our story. We will move forward and be more sensitive and responsible than before.

Earlier, RCB announced last month that, under the RCB CARES initiative, every family who lost his life in the accident will be given financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh.

A judicial inquiry was also ordered in this case, after which no international match has been played so far at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. At the same time, it was decided to conduct the matches to be held in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
