Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has indirectly targeted US Finance Minister Scott Besant for his statement that India is taking a slight stance in business talks with America.
Tharoor said that adopting a stubborn attitude is far better than humble or agreeing to injustice. By the end of October, Besant had said that he (India) is aspiring, while answering all the fees and business agreements to complete the business agreements.
Besant said in a conversation with ‘Fox Business’ on Tuesday, “But I think we are in good condition. Large trade agreements that have not been done or which has not agreed-Switzerland is still left, India is taking a slight stance. Tharoor wrote on ‘X’, “I have heard that some people are accusing India of being stubborn. I say that it is better to be stubborn than being humble or silent towards injustice. ”
Trade talks between India and the United States were going on that Trump imposed a total of 50 percent fee on India, including 25 percent additional tariffs applied for the purchase of Russian oil. This tariff will be applicable from August 27. India has described it as unfair and irrational.
