TV actress Kuruganti Apsara, along with her friends, planned to go to Bhadrachalam in Coimbatore. When he was to leave the house late at night, he sought help from Ayagari Sai Krishna, who lives in the neighborhood, to drop the bus to the bus. Ayagari was a priest of Bangaru Miyasamma Temple in Sarurnagar, Hyderabad.

On June 4, Kuruganti’s mother Aruna, along with the priest Ayagari, kept searching for her. The number was constantly closed and no news was being received.
Mother lodged a complaint with the help of priest
On June 5, he decided to lodge a complaint of missing daughter’s disappearance. Seeing the neighbor upset, the priest also helped and reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Police Station with him, as the priest was the last person who had last seen Kuruganti, so the investigation was started with his statement.
According to the priest’s statement, he considered Kuruganti a niece, his mother used to come and go to the temple, which gave him the status of sister. At 10:30 pm on the night of June 3, he left with Kuruganti and dropped him near his friends in Shamshabad. His phone has been closed since then.
Secrets of murder open with CCTV footage
In the police investigation, Kuruganti’s friends were contacted and it came to light that she did not come to Shamshabad. In such a situation, the entire suspicion of the police went on the priest. To convert this doubt into confidence, the police started searching all the CCTV footage of the distance of 21 km from Sarurnagar to Shamshabad. Footage revelations were shocked. The priest picked up the Kuruganti, but did not drop.

The next day when he was arrested, he started changing the statement again and again. A few hours had passed that he confessed his crime. Everyone was stunned to hear the confession of a priest. According to his Iqbal-e-Jurm, he came out with Kuruganti.
On the way, when he started feeling sleepy, he hit his head with a dashboard of the car. When the Kuruganti started screaming in the rescue, he crushed his face with a heavy stone kept in the car. He had already conspired to assassinate Kuruganti.

For two days the priest kept the corpse in parking
After executing the murder, the priest covered the Kuruganti’s body with a car cover and put it in the car trunk. Returning home, he parked the car in parking. The day he was wandering around in search of Kuruganti’s mother in search of him, then the corpse was lying in the car. He used to return home after a while and sprinkle the room freshener.

Kuruganti was done abortion, marriage was making pressure
Kuruganti became pregnant in May 2023. During this time, she was pressurizing the priest Ayagari to marry, but he wanted to keep this relationship hidden from the people. The priest had told his wife at this time that one day Kuruganti fainted in the temple, so he took him to the hospital.
Even after abortion, Kuruganti was constantly talking about marriage. When the priest refused to leave the first wife and children, Kuruganti started threatening that if she does not marry, she will tell all the truth in front of the society. Fearing slander, priest Ayagari conspired to kill Kuruganti.
Kuruganti was a TV actress. She was a resident of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The father had passed away years ago, so she lived alone with her mother. There were no siblings. After completing his studies, Kuruganti played small roles in TV shows. She wanted to try her hand in Tamil films, due to which she and her mother often used to make rounds of producers and directors.
Meanwhile, software engineer Karthik Raja took an entry in Kuruganti’s life. The two started liking each other and got married. Even after marriage, Kuruganti’s mother Aruna lived with him.

First husband committed suicide, mother -in -law had made serious allegations
The wedding lasted for a few months and one day Kuruganti left her husband. A few days later, Kuruganti’s husband committed suicide. In an interview to the South Post, the mother -in -law of Kuruganti alleged that she used to misuse her husband’s money. Husband Karthik had also taken a loan of 25 lakh rupees to take up the expenses of Kuruganti, but when the money was over, he started to fight continuously. Kuruganti’s mother -in -law alleged that she used Karthik to fulfill her expensive hobbies.
When Karthik’s money was over, he filed a false case of dowry harassment against him in court. In this case, Karthik had to stay in jail for 15 days. When he got out of jail, Kuruganti filed a case of divorce and alumni. Karthik broke mentally from the case and committed suicide.
Karthik’s family wanted to register a case of abetment to suicide against Kuruganti, but she left the city of Coimbatore before that. They also closed all the numbers. She did not even tell her relatives that she lives with her mother in Sarurnagar.
When the news of Kuruganti’s murder appeared in the newspapers, Karthik’s family came to know that she was living in Hyderabad.
Priest gets life imprisonment
The priest Ayagari Sai Krishna was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Rangaradi court in March 2025 after being found guilty of murder of Kuruganti Apsara. Along with this, he has been fined Rs 10 lakh, out of which 9 lakh 75 thousand rupees will be given to the family of Kuruganti.
