The proceedings of breach of privilege against ‘Stand-Up Comedian’ Kunal Kamra will start soon over the song targeting Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. A senior official gave this information on Saturday.
BJP MLA Praveen Darekar had presented notice against Kamra and Shiv Sena (Ubatha) spokesperson Sushma Andare in the State Legislative Council during the budget session in March.
Assembly Secretary Jitendra Bhole said, “Legislative Council President Ram Shinde has sent a notice to the privilege committee headed by BJP MLC Prasad Lad.”
On contact, Lad told the ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that the committee headed by him held a meeting to discuss the privilege abuses notice and has started the process of issuing notice to Kamra and Andhare.
Kamra, famous for his impeccable ‘stand-up comedy’ about leaders and celebrities, sang a song targeting Shiv Sena chief Shinde in March, after which Shinde supporters were angry against Kamra.
