Both these artists have criticized the country by questioning the steps taken for India’s security. Mahira Khan described the Indian Army’s action as ‘cowardice’, while Fawad Khan accused India instead of condemning terrorism and provocative things somewhere.
This statement is not only an insult to our country, but is also an insult to the sacrifice of innocent people who lost their lives due to terrorism and brave soldiers who were martyred in defense of the country. AICWA repeats its old decision and makes it clear that Pakistani artists, filmmakers and investors will be completely banned in the Indian film industry. No Indian artist will work with any Pakistani artist nor will any international stage be shared with them.
AICWA further said, it is unfortunate that many Indian music companies are still promoting Pakistani artists, providing them constant work and platform. Many Indian singers also share the stage with these artists in foreign programs, ignoring the sentiments of the country. Aicwa appeals to these companies and artists to stop supporting Pakistani artists and stand with the country.
Aicwa strongly condemns the makers, producers and artists of the film Abir Gulal, who cast Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the film despite the Pulwama attack. What message does such filmmaker want to give to the country? He also came to India for the promotion of this film, which is completely ignored by the sentiments of the country. This is an insult to the sacrifice of our brave soldiers.
Aicwa all those associated with the Indian film industry, whether from Bollywood or regional cinema. He appeals to them to fully respect the ban on Pakistani artists and keep the country interest above everything. Now the time has come for Indian artists and filmmakers to decide whether they are with their country or will continue to work with those who openly oppose India.
