Abuse of government post for defamable campaign, BRS accused digital agency

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has accused a digital media agency in Hyderabad of misusing the government office premises to spread derogatory material against the party and its senior leaders. The party has lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station (CCS) police and demanded an FIR against Mindsheer. The agency alleges that Mindsheer is running a planned campaign to discredit BRS. BRS spokesperson Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that the agency is broadcasting “false, derogatory and derogatory content” targeting the party, its president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and executive president KT Rama Rao (KTR).

He alleged that Mindsheer is working from Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) office building in Nanakaramguda and is misusing government space for private purposes using public resources to attack the party. In a statement, the BRS said that it has initiated legal action against digital media agencies and influential people, who are allegedly “malicious propaganda” against him through paid content. The party has concrete reasons to believe that some of these channels and platforms are being funded by the ruling Congress party to spread misinformation, create confusion and tarnish the image of the previous government. To prevent such baseless slander, BRS is sending legal notice demanding to remove the ‘paid’ defamatory content immediately, strict legal action will be taken for not doing so.

The party said that some institutions had removed the material after complaints, but some platforms continue to disseminate it. The release further states that false propagation is being done without any investigation to fulfill the political interests of their rivals.
