A 25 -year -old youth was strangled to death with a sharp weapon in a village in Nakur police station area in Saharanpur district. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain told PTI that the body of Ankit (25), a resident of Sampla Begumpur, a village in Nakud area, was found hanging half from the cot in his house on Sunday morning.
Jain said that on Saturday night, Ankit had gone to sleep on the roof of the house with his cousin Atul and Ankit’s body was found hanging half from the bed in the down room at around four in the morning.
He said that Ankit was stabbed with a sharp weapon on his neck and blood was scattered inside and outside the room. When Ankit’s father Ashok saw his son in this condition, he made a noise and gathered the family and neighbors, after which the police was informed.
After receiving the information, the police and forensic team reached the spot and gathered evidence. Police has sent the body for postmortem. The officer said that the police is investigating the case of how Ankit came to the room below the roof and who killed him. Ankit’s cousin Atul told that he slept while talking to him at one o’clock in the night and he could not know anything.
