A special court in Mainpuri district convicted a young man accused of raping a two -year -old girl and sentenced him to life imprisonment and also fined Rs 50,500. A government advocate gave this information on Friday.
Government advocate Vishwajit Singh Rathore today told ‘PTI-language’ that the court of Special Judge (Poxo Act) Jitendra Mishra on Thursday convicted Jagmohan, a resident of Nagla Jilhi in Bever police station area, sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs 50,500.
The judge said in his order that the amount of fine would be given to the victim girl. He said that Jagmohan (20) raped a two -year -old girl in a village on November 7, 2022.
Rathore said that Jagmohan was the brother of the victim’s relationship. He went to his relative’s house in Kishni police station area at the time of the incident, where he carried out the incident.
The family members ran towards the room after the girl shouted, but Jagmohan managed to escape from the house. The girl had injuries on her body, bleeding and she was in a state of semi-behaoshi. He was rushed to the hospital, where the medical examination confirmed the rape.
The girl’s father lodged an FIR in Kishni police station on November 8, 2022. The police arrested Jagmohan and after investigation filed a charge sheet against him in the court.
He said that the court convicted Jagmohan on the basis of the evidence and statements available in the records, sentenced to life imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,500 on the convict, which would be given to the victim.
