A speeding Mercedes car caused a terrible accident late last night in Vasant Kunj, a posh area of Delhi. The car crushed three people standing on the roadside, one of whom died, while two others were injured. The police have arrested the driver of the car.
How did the accident happen?
According to police, the incident took place after midnight at an auto stand near Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj area. The driver of the speeding Mercedes G63 car lost control. The car first hit a pillar and then hit three people waiting for their turn at the auto stand. Initial investigation revealed that the driver was unable to control the car due to a diversion on the road.

One dead, two injured
As soon as information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and immediately took the injured to the hospital. 23-year-old Rohit, resident of Chamoli, Uttarakhand, was declared dead by the doctors. At the same time, two other people aged 35 and 23 are injured, whose treatment is still going on. These three people worked in a restaurant in Ambience Mall and were waiting for an auto to go to their home.

driver arrested
Police said the driver of the car, 29-year-old Shivam, a resident of Karol Bagh, has been arrested. Shivam was returning home from a wedding ceremony with his wife and elder brother. Police said that the Mercedes G63 car belonged to Shivam’s friend Abhishek. Police have started necessary legal action against the accused.
