A new model of Bajaj Chetak EV may be launched soon with more power and lower price

This will reduce dependence on imports, as well as reduce the cost of scooters. Currently, the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is one of the most expensive scooters in its segment. Including subsidies, its price in Delhi is Rs 1.48 lakh, which is more than Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, Ather 450 series. If the report is to be believed, factors like higher power and lower price will go a long way in helping the Chetak EV dominate its rivals.

As per the certificate, the scooter will be powered by a motor that generates a maximum power of 4.2kW. Currently, the Chetak EV with subsidy is priced at Rs 1.48 lakh in Delhi. It is much more than Ola S1. The Ola S1 can be bought in Delhi for Rs 85,009 including subsidies.

Currently, as claimed by Bajaj, this scooter can cover a distance of 85 to 95 kms on a single charge and its battery takes 5 hours to get fully charged. Its top speed is 70Kmph. Its digital instrument cluster supports Bluetooth connectivity. It also supports GPS and navigation. In this you also get a USB charging port and it is also equipped with parking assist, anti-theft system and geo-fencing support. One of its specialties is the reverse mode, through which you don’t have to use your feet to push it back.
