A leopard caught in Wayanad, Kerala

A leopard has been caught in the hill district of Kerala, Wayanad, a leopard caused by fear for the residents of Chiral. The police gave this information on Wednesday. Police said that this animal got stuck in one of the cages installed by the State Forest Department.

Authorities had put four cages at various places in Chiral to catch the animal. Villagers said that this leopard had been harassing people in the area for several months and had killed many pets.

Sources in the forest department said that the leopard will soon be taken to an animal care center. Earlier, another leopard was caught from a nearby Nambiarkunnu area, but there were attacks on pets in other parts of Chiral. The villagers complained that wild animals like leopards and bears are taking shelter in this area due to dense bushes.
