The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) immediately reacted and declared it a fire of Level I at 6:26 am. It is said that the fire was in a tent on the set. Four fire engines, four jumbo water tankers, one Assistant Divisional Fire Officer (ADFO) and three station officers were deployed to control the fire. No one is reported to have been injured yet. The fire fighting campaign was still going on till the latest update time at 6:31 am.

Fire started 2 hours before the scheduled shooting

Aicwa mentioned in its tweet that the horrific fire completely destroyed the set. It started just two hours before the scheduled shooting, which was to begin at 7:00 am. It was also mentioned that preparations for filming of the day were already going on at the time of fire. AICWA president demands a high level inquiry

Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, president of the All Indian Cine Workers Association, said in his statement, ‘Anupama’s set was destroyed, it is worrying that many sets nearby narrowly escaped the fire. It could have a bigger disaster than this. He demanded the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis to order a high -level judicial inquiry into the incident of this fire.
