A sessions court in Mumbai on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of actor Ejaz Khan. An actress had filed a rape case against Ejaz. The victim alleges that Ejaz had a relationship with her by pretending to be married.

At the same time, in the case, Ejaz Khan claimed in his petition that the woman knew that she was already married. He says that whatever happened between the two happened by mutual consent. Ejaz also said in the court that he has evidence in the form of WhatsApp chats and videos. They allege that the woman had demanded Rs 10 lakh in exchange for withdrawal of the case.

Explain that FIR in the case was registered at Charkop police station. In the complaint, the woman said that Ejaz Khan affected herself by calling herself a celebrity and reality show host. He made physical relations several times by promising marriage and financial assistance in the month of April.
Police opposed Ijaz’s anticipatory bail
However, the police opposed Ejaz’s anticipatory bail. Police say that investigation of the case is necessary. Ejaz’s phone is yet to be recovered, chats check, and other digital evidence.

Court told inquiry Sessions Court Judge DG Dhobale said in his order that the FIR mentions clearly date, place and events. The woman was not only promised to marry, but was also assured of professional and financial help. The judge said that it is not just a relationship formed by consent. It seems that the consent has been taken on the basis of deception or false promises.
The court further said that there is nothing in WhatsApp chats that the woman had asked for money. In such a situation, inquiry is necessary in the custody of Ijaz. At the same time, in the case, the police also said that Ejaz was also caught in the drug case earlier. If they get anticipatory bail, they can tamper with evidence or affect witnesses.
