Rajesh Dhanta, president of the Himalayan Apple Grover Society, wrote a letter to the Prime Minister, expressing concern over the increasing import of apple from Türkiye. He wrote that in 2015, 205 MT apple was being imported from Türkiye, which increased to 1 lakh 17 thousand 663 MT in 2023-24. To save the apple industry, it is necessary to stop Türkiye’s apple.
