The weapons recovered in Shopian include several types of guns, hand grenades, thousands of bullets including AK-47.
Even after ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the operation of security forces continues continuously. A large quantity of weapons have been recovered on Wednesday in Keller in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. This includes several types of guns, hand grenades, thousands of bullets including AK-47 guns.
On May 13, three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in an encounter with security forces in Keller. The encounter ended at 4.30 pm on Tuesday in Shukru Forest Area in Keller in Shopian district. It was named Keller. Lashkar-e-Taiba’s top commander Shahid Ahmed Kutty was also among the slain terrorists.

‘Rashtriya Rifles (RR) wing of the Indian Army came to know about the terrorists in the Shokal Keller area of Shopian from intelligence sources. After this, the Indian Army launched the operation to find and kill terrorists.

After this, news came that the Indian Army had killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in the encounter. These included Shahid Kutti from Shopian, Adnan Shafi and Ahsan Ahmed Sheikh from Pahalgam.
