Alia further wrote, when we were in our homes, some brave women and men were protecting us in darkness. We were giving us sleep instead of our sleep and life. This is not bravery, not sacrifice. There was a mother behind every uniform, who did not even sleep herself. A mother who knew that her child is facing a night of uncertainty, not of uncertainty, and a night of silence that could have broken in a moment.
Alia further wrote for the mothers of soldiers, on Sunday we celebrated Mother’s Day. While we were distributing flowers and hugging, I could not stop myself from thinking about those mothers who brought up the heroes and kept that pride inside them with a little more strong in their spine.
