A high speed vehicle hit the bike in Faridkot, Punjab, killing the bike rider. While one of his companions was seriously injured. The accident took place late in the night near village Pakka on Amritsar Bathinda National Highway.

The deceased was identified as Pawanpreet Singh, a resident of Bhalur village in Moga. While his partner, Pradeep Singh, who was injured from Bhalur village, has been admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Hospital for treatment. On receiving the information of this accident, the police party led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Kumar of Sadar Faridkot police station reached the spot and started the investigation.

According to the information, Pawanpreet Singh was riding on a bike with his partner Pradeep Singh and coming from the National Highway towards Faridkot. As soon as he reached near Pakka village, the car from behind hit his bike, due to which both of them fell on the road.

SHO Rajesh Kumar said that the high speed vehicle hit the bike, killing the young man. While the other is seriously injured. The families of the deceased and the injured have been informed and further action is being taken.
