Actor Suraj Pancholi from the film Kesari Veer is making a comeback to Bollywood after four years. Akanksha Sharma will also start her acting career with this film. The story of Somnath temple will be shown in the film. Apart from Suraj Pancholi and Akanksha Sharma, the film will also feature Sunil Shetty and Vivek Oberoi in important roles. Recently, Suraj and Akanksha had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. He said that we got a chance to work in this film, it is a matter of pride for us.
Question- After four years, you are making a comeback in films. How are you feeling about this moment and what is your emotion?
Answer/Suraj- I feel really good. Films are returning after a long time. The film is right, but the thing I missed the most is a period of promotion. Meeting people, talking, that atmosphere. All this was really remembered a lot. It is very happy to return to the same place once again.
How did you get the offer of this film and what did you realize at that time?
Answer/Suraj- The film’s producer Kanu Chauhan Sir came to our house. A few days before his arrival, I went to Somnath, so I had good knowledge about the history of Somnath. When I was told that I had to play the role of a warrior, I was very happy. It was my dream that I should ever play the role of a warrior in my life. So I am very happy to get this opportunity.
In the film, you have played the role of a warrior. Your personal life is also no less than a warrior. In such a situation, how challenging or special was this comeback of yours?
Answer/Suraj- Frankly, I was getting films earlier also, but I was just waiting for a right film and the right time. Then that opportunity also came. At the right time. I believe that every good thing happens at its fixed time. So this comeback was very special for me and for this I heartily thank God.
You are making Bollywood debut with the film Kesari Veer. What has been your experience?
Answer/aspiration- This film is very special for me. My experience was very good. I consider myself very lucky that I got a chance to play such a role in my first film, which is based on a depth role not just on look or dance. In such a situation, I have tried my best to play my character honestly.
How much does your character in the film ‘Rajal’ and your real life match?
I am very shy in real life. If we talk about similarities, there is a lot of similarity between me and the character Rajal, because there is a warrior hidden inside every human being, which fights many challenges in everyday life. I have also fought many battles in my life and the same experience inspired me to play this character.
What were you doing when you were away from films?
I just used to eat and sleep. In addition, I was focusing on myself and trying to keep myself fit. The biggest thing, I was waiting for a return to films.
Nowadays many films are being made in Bollywood on history and culture. Which are also happening. Recently ‘Chhava’ came. Your film is also based on history. Do you think it will benefit your film?
Answer/Suraj- In schools, our brave warriors are not taught much nor have many books available on them. In such a situation, this film is a small tribute to Kesari heroes from our behalf. Those heroes who sacrificed for the country and stood to protect people.
Answer/aspiration- This is really a small effort to give respect to a warrior. We all made this film with full heart, hard work and love. We do not know how this film will perform at the box office and to be honest, we did not even think much about it. But yes, every person associated with the film has worked with hard work in it.
What would you like to say about the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam?
Answer/Suraj- Whatever happened in Pahalgam is very sad and painful. But we are confident that our government and our soldiers are very strongly present there and are constantly working to keep us safe. He is our real Kesari Veer.
Answer/aspiration- Such incidents are certainly hurting the heart, but India has never been silent in front of such attacks. We have replied and will give further.
How was it working with Sunil Shetty? Have you learned anything from them?
Answer/Suraj- I loved working with Sunil sir. I also learned a lot from him. Sunil Sir’s daughter, Aathiya, was my first co-star. It is said that with whom you work for the first time, it is always special, Aathiya is the same for me. At the same time, I met Sunil sir, and since then he has always inspired me.
Answer/aspiration- Working with Sunil sir was a very special experience for me. It seemed as if I was working with my father. He always takes great care of the people around him, especially mine. There was a scene in our film which was based on real life and at that time I became very emotional. In such a situation, he guided me how to perform that scene.
Would you like to say something about your next projects?
Answer/aspiration- I consider myself very lucky that I got a chance to work with many big Bollywood stars. I have done a song with Tiger and also worked with Badshah. Now I am making debut in films with Suraj. In the coming days, my film Tera Yaar Hoon will be released, in which Aman Indra Kumar will also be seen.
Answer/Suraj- Right now my entire focus is on the film Kesari Veer, which is going to be released soon. At the moment I am only paying attention to this project. In the coming time, let’s see what new comes.
