After violating ceasefire by Pakistan on Saturday night, the Army’s DGMO i.e. Director General of Military Operations Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai held a press conference on Sunday. Vice Admiral A Pramod and Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti were also present with him at this time.
DGMO becomes Lieutenant General in India
Director General of Military Operations i.e. DGMO is made to a senior army officer who works as military planning and border operations. In India, these posts are usually given to the Lieutenant General, who is currently Rajiv Ghai. Major General Kashif Abdullah is DGMO of Pakistan.
The DGMO’s job is to manage and eliminate the struggle between two countries, which is in direct contact with DGMO of other countries.
When there is any kind of tension between the two countries, DGMO is first contacted. Talking about India and Pakistan, DGMOs of both countries have already been talking to each other through hotline. There is no scope for any kind of misunderstanding due to direct conversation.
