The Improvement Trust has taken major action in the New Amritsar area. The trust dropped about a dozen shops built on the trust’s land here. A 60 -foot -wide road will now be constructed here.

The 340 -acre scheme in Bhai Gurdas Nagar was removed illegally on his land worth crores of rupees for a long time through JCB machine today (Thursday).

The action was taken under the supervision of Karamjit Singh Rintu, chairman of the Improvement Trust. Chairman Rintu said that people had pucca illegally occupied the land worth crores of rupees in Bhai Gurdas Nagar. He said that the road is being constructed here by the trust.

He said that people will get huge relief from the construction of the road now. He said that on receiving complaints of illegal occupations, SE Rakesh Garg of the trust, XEN Amandeep Singh, Trust officials were ordered to remove these possession. On which under his supervision, more than a dozen shops built with Duty Magistrate Naib Tehsildar Angadpreet Singh Brar, in -charge of police station Maqboolpura and heavy police force were broken through JCB machines.

Chairman Rintu said that all illegal occupations on the trust land will be removed in the coming days. He said that the work is being done by the trust to construct the road on 60 feet road.
