Police was busy investigating vehicles

According to the information, SI Dalwinder Bir Singh of police station Dhilwan was investigating vehicles along the police force on Amritsar-Jalandhar Road. The police had received secret information that both the accused were bringing a consignment of heroin in the Swift Dzire car. When a white Dzire car appeared during the blockade, the police tried to stop it. The accused tried to escape. The police chased and caught them.

In the search of the car, 400 grams of heroin was recovered from an envelope. DSP Bhultha Karnail Singh said that after questioning the caught smugglers, Sandeep Sharma alias Lovely of Jalandhar, who supplied heroin, has also been arrested. The police have taken the three accused on two days remand. Several important revelations are expected in the inquiry.

Investigation has been started by registering a case under the NDPS Act against the three accused in police station Dhilwan.
