A 35 -year -old domestic assistant (cleaning worker) died under suspicious circumstances in a businessman’s house at Badewal Road Rajouri Garden on Monday in Ludhiana. The relatives of the deceased refused to cremate the dead body, calling it a case of murder

The family also alleged that the victim was sexually assaulted before the murder. The deceased woman’s name is Renu. She was a resident of Uttar Pradesh and was working as a domestic assistant in the businessman’s house for the last 10 years.
Social activist Charanjit Kaur, who reached the spot after the incident, said that the owner of the house claimed that Renu committed suicide by hanging from the fan. Charanjit Kaur alleged that instead of calling the police, the owner of the house took down the body himself and then informed the family of the deceased.

Injuries have also been found on the woman’s forehead, indicating that the deceased tried to protect himself before being killed. We also suspect that the victim was first sexually assaulted and then murdered.

The deceased woman has four children and her husband works as a painter. Family and activists have made it clear that they will not cremate the dead body until a case of murder is registered against the landlord. The incident has created a sensation in the area and the police is investigating the case. On the other hand, SHO Madhu Bala of Sarabha Nagar police station said that the matter is being investigated. The case will be revealed soon.
